(how much do you LOVE that photo???)

reading... "the king of torts"- john grisham, so totally stupid, i know what you are thinking...let me explain... so my husband just started law school and this lawyer friend told Rob to read this book, i then wanted to read the book so that i also know what we are getting ourselves into.

buying... i am looking for a vintage medicine cabinet for my new bathroom (i just moved).

listening... to a lot of Sufjan stevens

watching... vampire diaries and community

loving... the fall season!!

a masked ball

Maybe it is the fact that halloween is right around the corner but i have been dying to put on a crazy cool mask. Wouldn't a masked ball be a fun alternative to the traditional halloween party? I think so! It may be a little to late to plan a party for this year...but count me in for next!

Just found the best quote on love over at {this is glamorous}:

"you know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams"
dr. seuss

I love it! Any of you finding that reality is better then your dreams???

inspiration board #5: the beach

It seems like EVERYONE in Portland is going to the beach this weekend, last chance before it starts raining....everyone except me. (enter sad face here) I am in the process of moving to Eugene and so therefore will not be going to the beach, so instead I made this inspiration board.

real wedding: mandee + ryan

Mandee and her family are practically part of our family. I have many memories of fun times with the Spotts family. When Mandee asked my mom and I if we would do her wedding we were so excited! She knew that she wanted to use bright yellow flowers with pops of green and navy. We decided to do a single planted yellow kalanchoe on each table, since we were working on a tight budget and had 40 guest tables.
Bouquets were made of sunflowers, yellow peppers, solidaster, green hypericum berries, unripened blackberries and green viburnum berries.
The boutonnieres were made of billy balls, kangaroo paws and green hypericum berries.

Mandee and Ryan are a beautiful couple so totally in love!
How fantastic are these shots with the horse!!???
love these shots!
The beautiful Spotts family...
Fabulous details... and how cool is this "finger tree"??? Each person stamps their finger and adds it to the tree symbolizing all the support and love the family has. Great alternative to the traditional guest book!

What a fun and fabulous wedding! Thank you so much Mandee and Ryan for letting us be a part of it! Congratulations and lots of love!
