lets all wear flowers // around the wrist

today i am going to show you how to  make a floral bracelet. i used rannunculus as my main flower and then used some mock orange blooms and a few dusty miller and fern leaves as little accents. start by cutting your stems super short and then arrange the flowers, putting the main flower in the middle and using your accent flowers to fill in, then use floral tape to tape it all together. then take a piece of ribbon and cut a whole in the middle, large enough for the short stems of you little floral posey to fit through. put the taped flower ends through your whole and then take some floral glue and glue around the whole on the backside of your bracelet, this will keep the flowers from falling through the whole. once the glue has dried you can tie it on! i would wear this one out dancing...gotta show it off! ;)

this week i made a simple hair clip using rannunculus and privit berries. again, the idea here was to create something simple and beautiful that can be worn out day or night. first step is to trim off your floral stems, i then wired the rannunculus, using a hairpin method, placing the wire through the  bottom center of the flower, then bending the wire back through the top to create a loop so the wire doesn't pull through the flower. i then wrapped the wired flowers and some privit berry stems together using floral tape. the floral piece can now be bobby pinned into your hair.

backyard bouquet // spring

i picked all these flowers (except for the rannunculus) from my sisters yard a couple weeks ago. i'm jealous of her yard, but she does let me come and pick whatever i want as long as i make a little something for her, so i can't complain. the rannunculus are from a farm not far away, they have the most beautiful rannunculus around. more of this beauty coming soon!
