let's all wear flowers // intro

i am going to be starting a new weekly blog series called "let's all wear flowers". the idea is to get more people to daily wear flowers.  big fancy floral crowns are perfect for a wedding, but what about everyday!? well i will be showing you ways to, simply, wear flowers...be it around your neck, on your wrist or in your hair! i hope you join me!

backyard bouquet // spring

i picked all these flowers (except for the rannunculus) from my sisters yard a couple weeks ago. i'm jealous of her yard, but she does let me come and pick whatever i want as long as i make a little something for her, so i can't complain. the rannunculus are from a farm not far away, they have the most beautiful rannunculus around. more of this beauty coming soon!

spring

spring has officially arrived and i couldn't be happier. the smell of daphne and the arrival of the blooms on the cherry trees makes me giddy as i walk down the street. hope it is bringing the same joy and excitement to you as well!

a wedding // amanda + daniel

amanda and daniel wed at camp lane in the oregon coast forest. amanda and i shared only a few emails back and forth to plan her wedding flowers... and yet her bouquet turned out to be my favorite of all the bouquet's i did this summer (love easy brides!). alison may really killed it with the photos, her style matching the dark and moody surroundings of the october forest.

a wedding // melissa + reilly

there are tons of fun and noteworthy details in this woodland, honey bee wedding. melissa was such a fun bride to work with...and boy did she have a great vision for her special day, from jars of local honey given to each guest, to the super adorable centerpieces made by her dad, to the beautiful flower crown she wore, melissa really got the wedding of her dreams. i'm so glad that i got to be a part of it.
bouquets made of billy balls, dahlias, succulents, calendula and scabiosa. love the yellow, grey and orange all mixed together.
