spring is in the air

The smell of daphene and blooming trees has got me going loco for spring. The warmer longer days, the visions of new life everywhere (i live right by ponds that are full of little ducklings) and the smell, oh the smell of blooming flowers.  I am loving soft pinks, yellows and blue-ish greens this spring.

inspiration board: vintage sweetheart

So i am totally inspired by valentines right now. Maybe it's the new floral job i got to help with the valentines rush, or maybe it's the romantic feeling i get when looking at pretty valentinesy things. Either way, I'm loving pink, and I'm not usually a pink girl, but i like it a lot more then red roses... thus this board was born.

The second arrangement that we did at the Floral Design Institute was a foam arrangement in a basket. We used hydrangea, roses, gerbera daisies, purple lisanthus, calla lilies, yellow freesia, bupleurum, heather, and flowerless diantheus.
