I was at trader joe's today and saw this fabulous fall bouquet, so I bought it and made this beautiful arrangement, which now sits on my kitchen island. Oh I love fall!

playing with flowers: part three

Best for last right? Well this final arrangement we did is my favorite! I just love those fall, sunburned colors! For this vase arrangement we used roses, carnations, alstroemerias, dahlias, green hypercium berries, trachellium, and flowerless diantheus. We had so much fun learning from Kathy over at the floral design institute and can't wait for the next time we get to take a class from her.

...aren't they so fun!!??

playing with flowers: part two

The second arrangement that we did at the Floral Design Institute was a foam arrangement in a basket. We used hydrangea, roses, gerbera daisies, purple lisanthus, calla lilies, yellow freesia, bupleurum, heather, and flowerless diantheus.

playing with flowers: part one

So we here at the green dandelion got to take a class at the Floral Design Institute of Portland last week. We had so very much fun playing with flowers! The first arrangement that we did was a hand-tied bouquet. The bouquet was made of purple roses, purple calla lilies, stock, delphinium, heather, thistle and montecassino (a european mini aster). I just LOVE they way they turned out! Stay tuned for part 2 and 3! Oh so fun!

When I got home I found the perfect little vase for my bouquet.
