an interview

i was interviewed a few weeks back by annie and aaron, a couple of journalism students at the u of o...here is a little peek into what i do and why (and i've never sounded more eloquent, guess i should have prepared a little).

mykiss love

my little sister is one of the most creative people i know, and she has been working on some really cool things you just gotta see... i love love love these napkins, made from vintage linens, stamps and fabric paint.
she is also making time-based jewelry...jewelry made from living sources, a tulip petal, lichen from a tree, a seed pod and other goodies the earth provides...how outrageously cool and unique!
you can buy here (she takes special orders too!) and follow her blog here to keep posted on her new designs as she makes them.

terrarium party : inspiration

i am having some girlfriends over this weekend for a terrarium party.  i have spent all week gathering goodies from the local markets.  here are a few that i have recently made for the store that might be fun to re-create.

poppies + kitties

found the poppies at the market yesterday, and the kitties at the window enjoying the sunshine this morning.

a day at passionflower

i feel so lucky to be working at such a cool place.  i want to share a few pictures of all the beauties i have gotten to play with lately. these were v-day arrangements.
