exotic foliage and anthro dresses
The beauty found in the march anthro catalog just blows me away... and makes me really want to take a vacation to somewhere warm and exotic.
on this cold winter day, i am grateful for a chance to dream of somewhere green and warm.

snow day
Here i am getting all ready for spring and it snowed! Not that i'm complaining. I love the snow, and in my opinion, we just don't get enough of it here in the pacific northwest. Here is to a day of fun in the snow.

the color of rain
rain, rain go away. I'm grateful that at least the world is full of color, if not in eugene oregon, then somewhere else...like morocco.

bhldn
I have been waiting for this day ever since i heard that my most favorite store anthropologie is coming out with a wedding line. It is called BHLDN which is pronounced “beholden,” and is inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep" and it launches today!
Since i won't be needing a wedding dress anytime soon (too bad cause i sure do love that ruffle dress), i guess i will have to get my fix by buying these beautiful "bridesmaids" dress. Of course, there is also all the beautiful accessories.

a wall of plants
Here is a picture of one of my walls at home... ok, not really though i bet you thought i was so cool for a while there. But one day it will be, I already asked my hubby and he said yes i could have a wall of greens when he is a big fancy lawyer. Is there not anything cooler then these vertical gardens?
A simple and less expensive way of creating these vertical gardens is by using a root pouch. I have seen them displayed along portland's streets, and they are beautiful and eco-friendly.

reading in the sun
This week was full of beautiful sunshine. I am so grateful that i was able to spend some time soaking up some rays (through my down jacket, cause it was COLD) and read.
I am reading, and totally loving wuthering heights by emily bronte.

love day crafts
So my friend and I are working on some "love day" crafts for our honeys. I am making these
a welcome sign, hand-made stamps for a loooove note, a jar full of love and laughter, and the yummiest chocolate fudge cake (none of the above will matter once he sees this).

real wedding: rachael + alex, part two
What's better then a little fly fishing on your wedding day???
This is one of my favorites. so darn cute.
Home-made blackberry cobbler for dessert!
This is one of my favorites. so darn cute.
The reception was held in a rustic receprion hall at the eagle crest resort. The tables were decorated with vintage mason jars filled with a collection of "nature", fishing flies and buttons. Flowers were arranged in vases of all sorts, borrowed from family and friends.
For their guest book, each guest/group took a polaroid picture of themselves, and exchanged it for a polaroid picture of rachael and alex.
